Fitted furniture, storage and bespoke joinery
Bespoke furniture is what I specialise in, and nearly all of it comes down to storage. Alcoves, understairs, media walls, kitchens and the corners nothing off a shelf will fit.
If it is fixed to the wall, it can be made to fit
Wardrobes are the biggest part of my work, but plenty of jobs start with someone pointing at an awkward corner and asking whether anything can go there. Usually something can.
Understairs storage
The most wasted space in most houses, and the one nothing off a shelf will ever fit. A run of doors following the line of the stairs, pull-out units for the deep end where you would otherwise be crawling, and proper access left to the meter and the boiler.

Media walls and TV units
The television, the boxes, the cables and the speakers in one piece of furniture built for that wall, with the cabling run behind it and lighting built into the shelves.

Home office and desks
A worktop, drawers and shelving built into a bedroom corner, an alcove or under a window, so the office is part of the room instead of taking one over.

The recesses either side of a chimney breast, fitted with cupboards below and open shelves above, or a full run of bookshelves scribed to a wall that is not straight.

Bathroom cabinets
Storage in the room that never has enough of it. A mirrored cabinet over the basin, open shelving in the space beside it, built to fit what is actually there.

Radiator covers
A radiator turned into something useful: a slatted cover that still lets the heat through, with a solid top you can stand things on.

Kitchens are part of what I do, fitted the same way as everything else: measured properly, built for the space you have, and finished so the gaps are even and everything closes the way it should.

How a fitted piece comes together
The room is measured properly first, including how far out of square it is. The carcasses are built, then fitted, scribed and packed so they sit true against walls and floors that are not.
Doors, drawers and shelves go on last, then the whole thing is adjusted until the gaps are even and everything closes the way it should. That final hour of fiddling is most of the difference between fitted furniture and furniture standing in a room.
